Cat Genie

So, I decided I wanted to post a blog today and after a long day of class and work I thought I would post something interesting. Over the weekend I spoke with my cousin and we talked about our cats. I come to find out my cousin has purchased a very interesting litter box I have never heard of (trust me this is not as wierd as it sounds). He told me he purchased a $300 litter box. I just looked at him in shock until he showed me the actual website and what this thing could do.

If you go and check out Cat Genie.com you will see that it is the world’s only self-flushing, self-cleaning cat box. I was so amazed at how this thing worked that I sat and watched the demo video that they have over and over. I would never actually buy this thing because I would rather clean the litter box each day then pay $300. The “tuxedo” package is $369… ya sorry but I need to fill my gas tank. My kitty can deal with regular litter.

Tell us what you think about it in the comments.

Google turns 10!

Today is a big excuse to eat all the cake & ice cream you want because the famous search engine, Google.com, turns the big one-zero! …But you probably already know this big news flash because you either use Google’s site everyday or have it set as your homepage already lol

To celebrate of course Google has a new “Google Doodle” up on the homepage with the colorful letters celebrating in party hats, cake, and a new server on the side as a b-day gift. Here’s a little quote from Google’s official blog:

Ten years and counting

9/26/2008 09:00:00 PM

The Google doodle tradition started a long time ago (in summer 1999, in fact) when Larry and Sergey put a stick figure on the homepage to signify that they were out of the office at Burning Man. Nothing against stick figures, but our logo designs have become rather more varied since then. Today you’ll see a special design that commemorates our 10th birthday. We’ve incorporated a little bit of history by using the original Google logo from 1998. And since everyone keeps asking what we’d like for our birthday (besides cake and party hats) — the first thing we thought of was a nice new server rack.

To look at all the history of the site from beginning to now, check out their interesting Timeline of events and facts.

Happy Birthday Google! :D

Where have we been part dos

Well, Tasha’s post was quite interesting so I decided that I would go ahead and blog a response to her post but as an actual blog post. We both have been starting up school and we probably have nobody that will be reading these posts since we havnt updated the site in about a month but it’s good to just type something up and go along with it.

I have been working really hard to get grades in school latetly and I had 3 tests last week and I got an 85% B on each test so I was happy about that especially since they were Law, Economics and Math (YUCK!) I have also been working, I just got promoted to a manager so I got a pay raise (YES!) and I also got more responsibility (NO!).

I love to post, as you can see I have posted a lot in the past… just not recently haha. I don’t like formal posting. As tasha said the reason she didnt post was because it made it seem more like school. I like to blog about what I am doing and not have to worry about if each of my sentences have a subject and predicate.

I have also been getting into the new fall season of television. My favorite returning show HEROES!!!!! premiered this past monday and it was GREAT! Check out www.nbc.com/heroes and find out about the show if you have never watched it, trust me, you are missing out. Also Fringe is a new great show that just started a few weeks ago.

I also have been doing some work with Adobe After effects and have been working on a few movie trailers (not ones that I am actually getting paid for but just ones that I have throw together cause I was bored). I am getting another computer monitor today so that I can better watch what I am doing on one screen while learning from tutorials on another. SOO much easier.

So… where is a podcast… lol. Well, I don’t know actually. Tasha and I have talked maybe 4 times in the past month so we havnt really discussed much about it so we will surely have to talk soon (that is if you guys want to still listen to us ahah!).

Btw Tasha, I’m sorry but that shopping quiz is too long for me to take… too lazy :P

Where have we been!?

Zach and I have once again dropped off the face of the earth! Of course we want to apologize for the lack of updates & posts lately. We’ve both been super busy with school and other things. :( I’m going to try my best to post more often than I used to.. if I can think of things to actually talk about! Most likely just random stuff that’s going on in my life.

I want to start off by saying one thing that honestly kept me away from posting (except for the fact of being busy) as many posts as Zach was the pressure to type correctly. I dunno about you but it reminds me of school way too much and I already have enough of that going on right now! So just a little heads up, I’ll not be looking so carefully at my spelling/grammar anymore!! (Yay! go me lol)

Anyway, let me see.. what has changed with me within the past 1 or 2 months since I last posted? I’m now obsessed with shoes!! Tennis shoes, sporty shoes, high heel shoes, clear shoes, sporty tennis high heel shoes! (I have those too! lol)<33 You just gotta love the smell of new kicks. Right now I’m all about the Converse though! And just so you know, if you knew me personally, you would know that a couple months back I really didn’t like shopping at all. I mostly used to shop like my dad. I go in a store for the one thing that I need and I’m back out within 15 minutes Lol My mom on the other hand can shop until she drops (literally!) We’ll go shopping together and don’t even get the one thing we were intending to buy in the first place. We’ll just be too busy looking around buying random stuff lol (Note to self: when I’m low on the dough, shop aloneee Tasha!!)

So I thought to myself, am I really becoming a shop-a-holic?! Tasha? a shop-a-holic?? That was unheard of a couple months ago. So I looked around online for a fun quiz for you all to take along with me to see if we’re too crazy about spending mula on that cute new outfit that’s on sale. I know there gotta be some shop-a-holics out there, so don’t be shy! haha

Take the Shopaholic Test here.

I just finished with the quiz and here are my results:

So maybe I’m not a shop-a-holic after all :D Just a ‘Fashion slave’…. greattt Lol Hopefully my new obsession with shoes lately doesn’t grow into something more though. I’m a college student and don’t have the extra dough for that type of hobby lol

Go ahead and take the quiz (or test-I should warn you that it’s kinda long. About 50 questions.) Post your results in the comments! :D

I was looking around Youtube last night and came across a lot of older commercials that were played in the 90s. I found a lot of toy commercials and this one is one that I don’t remember seeing when I was a kid. This commercial is from the UK and was played in the 90s. I don’t think this commercial would play in America… and you will probably find out why after you watch it.

Beach Week!

This is a GREAT resturaunt in Myrtle Beach, SC.

On Sunday I posted about traveling to the beach. I just got home about four hours ago, and my week was great. My family rented a house at North Myrtle beach in South Carolina and we had a great time. On Sunday we got to the beach and ate at Fudruckers which is a really good burger place. We then went back to our house and went out on the beach for a few hours. (IT WAS PACKED!)

The next day we went out on the beach most of the day and then went to Margaritaville for dinner. It was really good and we waited about an hour to get into the resturaunt. We then walked around the big shopping center called “Broadway at the Beach”, when we left we went back to the beach and watched the olympics (I watched Michael Phelps swim just about every night and he is doing awesome).

On wednesday it rained a lot so we went shopping. The shopping centers were extremely packed and people were parking in the middle of the street and on the sides of median. That night we waited for two hours and then ate at Miyabi Japanese steakhouse. It was expensive but it was REALLY good. I really wanted this nice hoodie from Ron Jon surfshop and you can see the one I bought here. I was debating buying it because I usually don’t spend that much but I really wanted it.

On thursday I was really burnt so I only spent about an hour on the beach while my family was out there all day. We packed up everything and watched the american girls win gold and silver in gymnastics. It was a great trip and it was sad to come home.
